The item has been autographed/signed by the person depicted, the persona, or for animated characters (or costumed) the voice actor bringing that character to life. Note that in both cases, there can be multiple different signatures for a character, including different voice actors across shows or generations, or things like the main actor and then body or stunt doubles.

Most autographed items have an authentication sticker/serial number, and in some cases a physical letter of authentication of some form — but some items were quickly hand-signed at an event or at some random location, and have not gone through a formal ‘audit’.
